Safety

What do you call a ski / boarder mountain lover with a knack for keeping people safe on the hills? Other than awesome, we mean.

Officially, we call them a volunteer member of the Peace River & District Ski Patrol. Our volunteers love what they do, belong to the Canadian Ski Patrol, dance for joy at the sight of fresh snow and want you to enjoy the experience as much as they do safely.

What makes our CSP First Aid interesting?

  • All across Canada our First Aid Training is the same...so even us prairie birds get Avalanche Training. Go from hill to mountain and be confident that you have the same level of first aid training!
  • Learn how to use splints, oxygen tanks, backboards and OPA's. (And these are only a few of the things we get to do...)
  • Not just First Aid...we are Advanced First Aid. This is a great course to take if you are interested in getting higher levels of training.
  • Always wondered what it would be like to ride in one of our toboggans? Be trained in how to transport patients off the hill - everyone gets a ride!
  • It really is a small world...see how connected patrollers are not just in our area but all across the country!
